“The plastic devices, installations and interventions that make up Xavier Daniel's work provoke, simultaneously with their event, an observer's attitude on the part of the spectator: once the first reflex of surprise has passed, we must stop and decipher: what are indices and strategies contained in what we see?

The artist puts us on the path by juxtaposition, friction one could say, of elements not belonging to the same field of cognition.
